General Contractor: Designline Construction Services, Inc.

Program and Design:  A single-story 150-seat restaurant with a 250-seat outdoor deck and direct access to the Hudson River. The new building is constructed on foundations salvaged from the  original structure that was destroyed by fire. The design solution created a series of glass pavilions; the central pavilion contains the main dining area and is a double height space with exposed serpentine roof trusses intended to echo waves of water.

KEE Oyster House
White Plains, New York
Restauranteur: Bar Oyster, Inc.

Size: 2,600 square feet

Program and Design: Interior design for a 90-seat seafood restaurant with Oyster bar.  The interior is an updated interpretation of a prohibition era bar located in a converted industrial building.  To set the scene, a palette of materials, including marble penny tile flooring, chamfered white subway wall tiles, exposed welded steel trim, and structural concrete was combined with blown glass lighting, coffered ceilings, and working fireplaces.

Dive Oyster House
Briarcliff Manor, New York

Restauranteur: Dive Oyster House

Size: 2,900 square feet

Program and Design: Interior design for a 46-seat seafood restaurant.  The interior presents a contemporary dining aesthetic.  The design strategy telescopes the energy from the bar into the more intimate dining space.  The bar top features live-edge walnut slabs encased in clear resin with oyster shells and crystals.  Terrazzo and end-grain hickory wood floors, satin brass, and brass mesh mirrors dominate the luxurious material palette.

Size: Interior: 5,000 square feet; Roof Deck: 2,500 square feet

Project Team

Structural: David Seymour, PE

General Contractor: KL Construction Services, Inc.

Program and Design: Elements Bar and Grill is a conversion of an existing 25’ x 100’ single-story bookstore into a “cosmopolitan” restaurant/bar with rooftop dinning. “Community,” “hospitality,” “familiarity,” and “warmth,” elements of a traditional Irish pub, were translated into a contemporary design featuring dark wood, earthen materials, and a fireplace. The storefront façade and interior feature a palette of hammered copper, mahogany, and honed limestone. Custom designed mosaic glass tiles are the dominant design element in the bar area.
